The Regatta Charter implies the chartering of boats used for regattas in Croatia and in the Mediterranean and is intended for professionals and anyone who wants to test his/her sailing skills at sea in a real regatta.
The chartered sailboat is the ClubSwan 36, which is where the Finnish manufacturer Nautor’s Swan returned to its roots. It is a completely modernized and technologically superior sailboat designed to be fast, light and manageable for use by amateurs and professional sailors.
The ClubSwan 36 sailboat is a monohull vessel with a total length of 11 meters and a total weight of only 2500 kilograms. Thanks to carbon hydrofoils, it achieves a speed of over 20 knots with ease, with a potential for over 30 knots for those more experienced.
When chartering it, you get a fully equipped sailboat with all the safety equipment needed for the regatta. This includes, but is not limited to: a stable VHF device, a spare VHF antenna, anchor, first aid, nautical charts, buoyancy belts, safety belts, navigation lights, fire extinguisher, compass, waterproof lamps and other legally required and necessary regatta equipment.
The ClubSwan 36 is equipped with “North Sails” 3Di sails that come as extra accessories and are the fastest and the lightest composite sails in the world today. North Sails 3Di sails deliver top performance across a wide range of conditions, as evidenced by the fact that professional North Sails sail users have broken the 30 biggest sailing records in the last four years using 3Di sails alone, while in 2019, 6 sailing records have been broken using the same sails

U sklopu usluga ACI Saila omogućen je i najam jedrilice ClubSwan 36 za regate, odnosno Regata charter.
Regata charter uključuje najam plovila za regate na području Hrvatske i Mediterana, a namijenjen je za profesionalce i sve koji žele svoje vještine jedrenja testirati na moru u pravoj utrci.
Jedrilica koja se može unajmiti je ClubSwan 36 kojom se finski proizvođač Nautor’s Swan zapravo vratio svojim korijenima. Riječ je o potpuno moderniziranoj i tehnološki superiornoj jedrilici koja je dizajnirana s namjerom da bude brza, lagana i upravljiva kako bi je mogli upotrebljavati profesionalci i jedriličari amateri.
ClubSwan 36 jednotrupno je plovilo sa sveukupno 11 metara dužine, sa ukupnom težinom od svega 2500 kilograma. Zahvaljujući karbonskim hidrokrilima postiže brzinu od 21.7 čvorova sa potencijalom za preko 30 čvorova za one malo iskusnije.
Prilikom najma preuzimate potpuno opremljenu jedrilicu sa kompletnom sigurnosnom opremom potrebnom za regatu. Training series are held at ACI Marina Split or on alternative location upon clients request in the duration of 4 days, during which trainees have the opportunity to take comprehensive sailing courses covering the areas of – sailboat preparation and trimming, sailboat handling, sail trimming, sailing strategies and tactics, starting strategies and many more.
The training is being held on training platforms consisting of a fleet of 6 ClubSwan 36 boats so that a maximum of 6 crews each consisting of 7 crew members can be organized at one time.

Within ACI Sail training series, the main learning objective is to prepare trainees for the situations they will certainly face at sea. For this purpose, we impart knowledge and deliver the training in professional Olympic sailing, which is the training process every professional sailor undergoes.
The training is focused on ClubSwan 36 sailboat owners, all those who consider becoming owners, professionals and amateur sailors, and in each situation is adapted and customized according to the level of knowledge and experience of each team or individual.
The mission of the program is to shorten the trainees learning time and to help them learn to anticipate and evaluate situations they face at sea throughout the entire program.
For sailors with higher levels of knowledge, a situational group training is prepared allowing them to practice and repeat the typical regatta sailing situations, thus actually perfecting themselves to the smallest details. All this takes place under the watchful eye of the experienced, sailboat trainers with the Olympic background who put a lot of effort, knowledge, and energy into the training and the transfer of knowledge.
To provide the best training experience for the trainees, all the equipment used is of the highest quality, and includes sails, sailing clothing, and safety equipment.
As for the ClubSwan 36, it combines the latest technology in weight, stability and surface ratios, which has existed only in theory so far, all of them guaranteeing perfect handling, absolute safety and unimaginable speed while sailing.
Being the philosophy of excellence the basic guiding principle of the training, much attention has been paid to the choice of sails. The sails chosen are from the manufacturer “North Sails” with 3Di technology, which brought together all the best features of sails used in some of the largest and most respected regattas in the world. What makes it even better, those regattas were won by using them.
These are Americas Cup regattas, Volvo Ocean races, the Olympic Games and World Championships of various classes and categories.
During the training series, much attention is focused on the protection equipment of participants exposed to external influences, such as the sun, sea, and wind, and each participant is provided with a self-inflating lifebuoy of the latest generation and extra accessories for night sailing.
Special emphasis in ACI Sail is placed on situational trainings, where trainees prepare and train for some of the most important situations and techniques used during regattas.
The training itself can be divided into recurring segments, but individual segments may occur once or twice a day during sailing, which ultimately means a lot of time spent sailing to bring them to perfection. It may sometimes take months and years of practice to perfect such techniques and maneuvers.
For this reason, in ACI Sail, such situations are first performed offshore, and then coordinated at sea by using specially segmented and pre-planned techniques.
During the training, the techniques are repeated 20-30 times in one day, making the trainees adopt rapidly the techniques to be able to act reflexively. The helmsman and the crew are ready to respond to any changes due to the training, the complete crew acts in harmony, having as a result an incredible speed of the sailboat, better positioning to the opponents and ultimately the placement on the regatta that satisfies the crew.
The participants will also undergo a “tuning guide”, which will help them to quickly master all the technical details of the sailboat and the adjustment of its components by actually doing it. Namely, each sailboat consists of many adjustable or trimmable elements. This refers primarily to the hull of a sailboat, rudder, sail, and crew all the way to moving ballast, which ultimately gives users the knowledge of putting the elements in the optimal condition in different circumstances – wind direction, waves, and crew weight.
This type of training provides a progressive learning curve for all current and future owners and users of the ClubSwan 36. This is a new type of sailboat, in which very few people have had the opportunity to sail, and there are numerous options for trimming and adjusting.
For the quality of education and gaining experience, each training session is recorded with a video camera. Subsequently, the trainees, together with the trainer, perform the analysis of the whole training and of individual elements.. Once the weaknesses have been identified extra attention is focused on the weaker elements followed by an additional training in subsequent sessions to correct the focal problems.
Within the training series, great emphasis is placed on the sailing strategy and tactics that sometimes takes years of experience to learn in practice. The reason, of course, is the slow nature of sailing itself.
For this reason, great care is taken to prepare sailors to understand tactical and strategic decisions and to make timely key decisions, which ultimately guarantee outstanding results.
The basis on which this knowledge is transferred is the Olympic sailing experience in which ACI Sail is highly experienced.
When it comes to strategic tactical decisions, a very important factor is the knowledge of racing meteorology, which is the deciding factor for achieving results, regardless of the type of sailing involved. Consequently, ACI Sail trains its trainees to better understand wind and other weather conditions and make better decisions on the water.

Poseban naglasak u ACI Sail-u stavlja se na situacijske treninge, na kojima se polaznici pripremaju i utreniravaju za neke od najbitnijih situacija i tehnika na vodi.
Sami trening se naime može podijeliti na segmente koji se ponavljaju, ali pojedini segmenti događaju se eventualno jednom ili dvaput u danu, što za usavršavanje istih u konačnici znači puno vremena provedeno jedreći. Za usavršavanje takvih tehnika i manevara ponekad je potrebno i po nekoliko mjeseci i godina prakse.
Iz tog razloga se u ACI Sailu takve situacije prvo izvode na kopnu, nakon čega se koordinirano izvode na moru posebno segmentiranim i unaprijed planiranim tehnikama.
Tehnike se tokom treninga ponavljaju i po 20-30 puta u jednom danu, što u konačnici dovodi do brzog usvajanja refleksnih akcija. Kormilar i posada zbog uvježbanosti spremno reagiraju na sve promjene, kompletna posada na vodi djeluje harmonično, a kao konačan rezultat postiže se nevjerojatna brzina jedrilice, bolje pozicioniranje u odnosu na protivnike i u konačnici plasman na regati koji zadovoljava posadu.
U sklopu kampa polaznici će proći i “tuning guide” na kojemu će u praksi ubrzano savladati sve tehničke detalje jedrilice i namještanje njenih komponenata. Naime, svaka jedrilica sastoji se od mnogo elemenata koji se mogu namještati ili trimati. Ovdje se prvenstveno misli na trup jedrilice, kormila, jedra i posadu pa sve do pomičnih balasta što u konačnici korisnicima daje znanja da elemente postave u optimalno stanje u različitim uvjetima – smjer vjetra, valovi i težina posade.
Ovakav način treninga u praksi osigurava progresivnu krivulju učenja i savladavanja novih znanja i vještina, za sve sadašnje i buduće vlasnike i korisnike jedrilice ClubSwan 36. Radi se o novom tipu jedrilice na kojemu je jako mali broj ljudi imao prilike jedriti, a mogućnosti za trimanje i podešavanje su brojne.
U svrhu što kvalitetnije edukacije i stjecanja iskustva svaki trening se snima video kamerom nakon čega se zajedno sa trenerom pristupa analizi i raščlambi pojedinih elemenata. U sklopu trening kampa velik naglasak stavlja se na strategiju i taktiku jedrenja za koje su ponekad potrebne godine iskustva kako bi se naučile u praksi. Razlog je naravno sama priroda i sporo odvijanje situacija u jedrenju.
Iz tog razloga sa velikom pažnjom se pristupa pripremi jedriličara za razumijevanje taktičkih i strateških odluka te pravovremeno donošenje ključnih odluka, koje u konačnici jamče izvanredne rezultate. Temelj na kojemu se bazira prenošenje ovakvog znanja je sakupljeno iskustvo olimpijskog jedrenja, a kojega ACI Sail ima na pretek.
Kad govorimo o strateško taktičkim odlukama, vrlo važan čimbenik je i poznavanje regatne meteorologije koja je odlučujući faktor za postizanje rezultata, neovisno o kojem tipu jedrenja se radi. In cooperation with the trainer, an individual assessment of the client’s knowledge and skills is made based on each query, and a detailed training plan is created accordingly.
The training is also individualized and paying maximum time and attention to the client –in order to accelerate the learning process, to master new skills, to transfer the latest sailing knowledge, and especially to improve their technical knowledge of the ClubSwan 36 sailboats, using the most effective methods.
The training is conducted according to the principle and philosophy of “time maximally used and spent at sea in sailing”, where we want to make the student feel satisfied, and yet not too tired.
Learning new skills and disciplines is stressful for the body and requires a high level of concentration, which professional trainers pay particular attention to by, carefully dosing the workload and assessing the level of focus and energy of the students.
This means that training is interrupted at the moment when the trainer perceives a decrease in concentration and energy – to retain knowledge, acquire it properly and avoid “wrong learning”.
To maximally help the trainee, each training session is carefully recorded with a video camera, followed by a detailed analysis of the training done by the head coach.
Based on the analysis, key problems and weaknesses are identified, and training is adjusted in the coming days to correct and improve the spotted weaknesses.
